The Art of James R. Ure

I hope everyone is enjoying the new site. I am trying to figure out how to make the sample pictures bigger but it may not be possible through this platform. But enough business talk...the ideas are coming faster than I can paint, which is always a good problem to have for an artist. I'm working on a four part series depicting the four basic elements (earth, water, fire, air).

I have the first phase of the earth element piece completed and is drying waiting the next phase. The picture above is me working on the earth painting. In the mean time I have started the water element painting, which should be pretty cool as well. I'm excited. Ideas for the air and fire pieces are jelling further in my mind but not ready just yet.
